Artist's Comments
On 8/13/07 I went to Gail Carson Levine's book signing at the Blue Manatee, a local shop. She wrote the novel for Ella Enchanted, and the two new flagship novels for Disney's Fairies line. She was petite, friendly, and seemed to have a good time being there, and told a few stories about the adaptation of "Ella" into a movie. They gave her a decent amount of veto power on the script, but the book is still more female-forward than the movie.

We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you  the news article as well as check out the individual pieces.
